Conical Twin Screw Extruders
ONYX
conical twin screw extruders contain some of the most state of the
art equipment. It's special gear box was designed and built
with the highest standards in mind. It's Helical gears are
made from 20CrMnTi steel, and have been heat treated and polished.
SKF thrust bearings, QT200 Gear boxes and 40 Cr Axels ensure long
life and durability. The system is fully lubricated with
circular gear old, and it's screw and barrel are made from 38CrMoA1A
steel, which has been nitrated, polished and treated to 0.6-1.0
depth. Frequency control of the AC Motor allow it to gain
considerable accuracy and a longer life span. All parts come
EU and CSA approved and come with Siemens, ABB and Schneider
Components.

Parallel Twin Screw Extruders
Both
the screw and barrel of ONYX's parallel twin screw extruders were
designed using the building block principle. The screw
configuration, barrel setup, screw L/D, number of feeding & venting
protocols, screen changes, granulating methods and electrical
controls are optimally adjusted according to the material properties
and process requirements. The closely intermeshed screw
elements have excellent self-wiping characteristics, and can be
easily interchanged with others. Screw elements are inserted
into a spline shaft to achieve higher torque and higher screw
channel volume for even higher throughput. Over 20 years of
experience has been put into the development and design of the screw
and software. This enables us to produce highly efficient twin
screw extruders in accordance to the requirements of the specific
process. To meet the increasingly demanding challenges coming
for new materials and processes, we are constantly providing new
types of screw elements.
